So, the thread on this last weekend has grown and is quite interesting, but as at least one commenter noticed... there was no discussion of the girls' side. So, for those of you who attended this last weekends' Try-Out, what was the ladies division looking like? Who stood out? Was the try-out completely different than the open division? What elements separated the girls from one another? Who attended that surprised you?

One stand out that I didn't know was going was Emelie Mckain. She was pretty sick.
sara scott cleaned up.
bailey z.
top 10?
in no particular order: emelie, bailey, sara scott, anna, erica, taylor, kimber, christine wilson, elise, julia snyder.
possible others: lucy, maggie, and claire
that was such a fun weekend!!
So hard to think of a top 10 because everyone was so amazing, so heres my top 7:
Emelie Mckain
Julia Snyder
Christine Wilson
Erica Baken
Sara Scott
Bailey Zahniser
Anna Reed
I wish I could have been there to see how well the churchill girls did. Anyone know off hand what schools were represented in try-outs? I would be curious to see the diversity people are making their lists from.
3 from HOPKINS
MN teams represented:
South-maria white and erika schmit
cretin durham hall- emily depalma
hopkins- erin curme, elise rasmussen, and erica baken
ya minnesnowta!
I would wait and see what happens with the Minnesota girls, Jon Sandal is on the picking committee, and he is the coach of south, I would wait to see if anyone else from Minnesota makes it, rather then his south girls.
2 girls from colorado
1 from Colorado Academy
1 from Denver University
Oregon:
Churchill girls
Washington:
NW
Lakeside
Seattle Academy
Univ Prep
Hale?
1 Wisconsin girl
1 Virginia Girl
1 Penn girl
The majority of the players (3/4ths?)
were from MN, OR and WA pretty much.
anon 5:07,
you think the other mn girls have less of a chance of making it cause of jon? he was the ycc coach for the mn girls too

Boulder, Colorado time most likely, So thats Mountain time...
the upa said that they should be out by the end of the business day today. chill your nuts
isnt a business day like 2 - 3 days?
I know John Sandahl, and there's no way he'll be biased towards his players.
Also, Brenna Kruse was there from South, but she said the field was really strong.
