CHS B made it to the finals beating CB east in the semis on universe

uh, that was chs b in the division III finals. taking second in that division is something like 14th overall out of 18 teams.

How come the crossover challenge says YHB X rather than their normal name? Anyone know? COngrats on the tourney win though

YHB was missing a lot of players because of a school music trip, so we had a smaller squad at the Crossover Challange. We had a couple of our girls play with us and other non-regulars got a lot of playing time.

Props to CHS B. They went from losing to teams like Scarsdale in the fall to placing well and sometimes winning tournaments. What a turnaround!

Updates on Longmeadow invite
Nipmuc loses all three of its pool play games. 13-5 to Watchung Hills, 11-8 against Amherst JVA and 13-1 against Needham

Hampton beats Mt. Lebanon in finals of the Pine-Richland Classic, 13-10

Boiling Springs defeats State College HS (first time State College has lost against a CPHUL team since the founding of the league) 15-13 in an exciting final of the Central Pennsylvania High School Ultimate League. Boiling Springs will recieve CPHUL's automatic bid to Pennsylvania HS States, while State College may recieve a bid depending on the number of bid allocations per league (to come out sometime soon).

Needham lost to the Canes in the finals of longmeadow invite.

At Mudbath it was Cretin-Durham Hall winning, with Denver East in 2ed. Hopkins got 9th I believe.

Watchung Hills loses to Needham 9-10 by hard cap.
Watchung Hills wins also 13-5 over Nipmuc and 13-10 over Amherst JV A

Denver East swept second (YCC, anyone?), Cretin took Open and Hopkins won Womens decisively. Spirit went to Team Ill in Open and Woodward in Womens. Great weekend, all in all.

Teams like Pennsbury and Columbia dominated Watchung Hills. How was it so close with Needham?

Anonymous said...

i wouldnt worry too much about it

I find 15-6 loss to Amherst more surprising

every tourney/game we've played this season, we have been missing atleast 2 starting line players and many supporting players. im not trying to make excuses for our losses, but missing key players really affected our playing. at longmeadow, we had our main core 10 players.

watchung hills is also one of the few teams that has already submitted a highlight reel to the contest already.

they are on their way to taking home 100% of all the prizes... very sweet prizes. (announcement coming soon....)

We were surprised also at how well we were playing against Needham. Needham WAS missing Andrew Lunetta one of their star players, but then again maybe working our asses off paid off a bit.
