Princeton won all 4 of their pool games defeating Watchung Hills, Highland Park, Milburn, and Hillsboro. I don't know how other teams did

Don't say that Princeton sucked. Princeton was up 10-7 or something, and played a hard fought game. It went down to the wire and could have gone either way. Both teams played a great game and it was back and forth all game. So take pleasure in "predicting" the outcome, but you probably weren't even there, and shouldn't insult us cause it was a well played game on both sides.

Watchung Hills also fought Columbia to the end. After scoring the first point, Watchung went back and forth with CHS, gave up a couple break points, and then the teams went back and forth until CHS took the game 13-10 (as far as I can remember). Princeton seemed to have a much easier semi-finals game, which ended a while before CHS finished taking care of business with Watchung. It was a great tournament, overall.

To the anonymous who said princeton sucked...Since you clearly were not there to see the game, let me let you in on a little tid bit of information. A game that's tied 13-13 when it's a game to 13 means that neither team sucks. Especially in a game of two teams of Princeton and Colombia's caliber. Not to mention the fact that having line judges who actually you know, watch the lines would be helpful in a championship game.

How about the anonymous poster who said Princeton sucked tells us their name? I want to know who posted that inane comment. Next time stick with reporting the score. This isn't myspace.

I'm disappointed to read an anonymous comment saying that Princeton sucked. False. P-Huc was amazing and fearless. Comments like that only help to put a damper on what was truly an amazing states finals.

I'm not really familiar with their players, but I do know that they have spent most of the season without a coach. For the finals, they did have alumnus Phil Warren at their side. Phil was awesome rallying them and keeping their heads cool when things were getting jittery.

To have the kind of success they had this past year without a coach is simply amazing. My hat is off to all youth teams that kick ass without coaches. At the same time, more alumni need to get involved with their old teams. I realize that a full season commitment is not realistic for some (especially if you're away at college or holding a full-time job). But coming to one of their practices once a week or twice a month would go along way. If that's not doable, then be a tournament-only coach and help with the necessary subbing and giving crucial advice. It can be a big boost for some of these teams.

Speaking of coaches, Watchung Hills gave CHS a strong semi-final challenge. Princeton had maybe an half-hour of rest while Watchung made CHS truly earn its place in the finals.

NJ States finals: it was close with Princeton striking first and leading most of the way and taking the first half. They kept the lead at around 10-9 when both teams were trading points. P-Huc's last lead was at 13-12, I believe, with CHS finishing it off for the win and to keep the streak of state championships alive at six.

I've seen them all.

Columbia B-team, coach

(Hey McCabe, can we start another thread on colleges and where graduating seniors are going off to? Columbia graduates only two seniors this year: Ryan Thompson to Stanford and Stephen Panasci to NC State.)

Princeton was so good they made Ryan Thompson and Zander Padget (both injured) play D points.

All-State Team:

Alex Growney (Watchung Hills)
Josh Cincotta (Columbia)
Julian Elman (Columbia)
Stephen Panasci (Columbia)
Angus Picala (Princeton)
Bryant Chen (Princeton)
Kinsey (Princeton)
