2009 National College Ultimate Signing Day

For the past three years (2008, 2007, 2006) PlayUltimate has compiled a list of high school seniors and their college choices. It has grown into the National College Ultimate Signing Day. Now everyone will be able to see which colleges have the best recruiting classes and maybe even begin to look into the crystal ball a bit.

This year we will announce the list on Wednesday, May 27th, at 5 p.m. so the deadline to submit college choices will be May 26th. The form is a little bit more detailed and in depth, but it will provide a very interesting picture of the coming college season.

Please forward the link to friends, fellow teammates, your league message boards etc. Post it on facebook (link below every post) or MySpace or whatever you use.

I know many (most, if not all) have not finished applying for school at this point, let alone heard back or picked one. But we want to get an early start this year and have a very comprehensive list.

So, without further ado, you can start submitting information here.

If you have any suggestions on other information we should gather leave it in the comments.

As captain of The Kenyon College Frisbee Team, I would like to extend an offer to any High Schoolers interested in visiting our campus. 5 members of our team are now living in an on campus apartment designated to the ultimate team. While we are not a historically strong team, we have had three consecutive years in which we recruited high level juniors talent, and we have been steadily improving. If you are a senior who applied to Kenyon, a junior considering the small liberal arts education/atmosphere, or just a player in the juniors scene who has questions about college, please send me an email. wallackr@kenyon.edu
Good luck to everybody in the coming season,
Russell Wallack

If you are reading this, I would like to say I was in your position last year. There are a lot of colleges out there and a lot of decent teams that would be happy to have you playing for them. If you are considering Indiana University, I would like to extend an invitation to you to come visit for a couple days and practice with us. The HoosierMama?s are a great buch of guys who work hard and play hard both on and off the field (we win tournament parties; at MLC 07 we won the tournament party without even playing in the tournament). Most of the members are in the business school, so if you're considering it, the team helps each other out with homework a lot. Our team is very tightly knit; there are about 4 different houses that just have ultimate players in it. This year we are only graduating 2 players, and next year we are getting our 2 best cutters back (they are injured for the season) as well as a very experienced handler (he's studying abroad), so we will have a very strong team next year. Please email me (Max Ellis) at VanillaThunder12@hotmail.com if you have any questions or better yet would like to visit for a day or two.
