who's the jerk who throws the disc at #81 on the yellow/red team? And why would you put something that unspirited on a highlight real unless you were proud if it. That's disgusting.
This video is a STORY of YCC, and it shows the tension of the game. Yes it was unspirited, i am not denying that, what it does show is the tension of the game. The original version of the video shows stupid stuff that both teams did, and how it added tension from both sides.

i dont think you can judge why we put it in the video...there were fouls and words traded between both players and the eugene play snapped. and there were bad calls and a spike and a big foul on the mark from number 81 also. we arnt proud of it, it was just part of that game. also must i say again that these videos are made for us...and i guess we put them up here for interested people. you cant really ask me i just make the videos
To reiterate, cool video. I totally understand heated games get tense and I've been known to get angry in game as well. Spirited? maybe not but that's how it goes down a lot. Dylan you played awesome it looks like, congrats to you and the whole team!
It's no doubt that Eugene was the best team in that division, that was a pretty "tense" game for such a lopsided score. I can't say that helps Eugene's appearance in my eyes...I mean, that was just blatant disrespect.
just get over it man it's not that big a deal. If you can look at it for what it is which is a great display of youth ultimate then you;ll enjoy at it if you go into it looking for something to pick at because they were the best team there than you won't

fyi dylan, sped-up motion is not the new slow-mo...but on a whole, i enjoy all these videos

Most of the tension occurred early on, before the score was lopsided and on the heels of a much closer game between the two teams the day before. I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to as blatant disrespect, but if you're talking about tension in a lopsided game I don't think that was really the case.

Many may be curious of the Atlanta and Minnesota opinion?

on a less serious note...to mr. movie critic...we used the fast motion to speed up some of the huchs that were really far or floaty so that the video wasnt so long...also the camera might have been off on the huch. also it is just kind of boring to watch huck after huck in reg motion. just my thoughts. and thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
does anyone know where we can find all the other YCC pictures?
there wasnt one good highlight in that video

and yes there were good highlights...it wasnt jam packed with amazing footage because due to the fact that we didn't have an opens team we had an easier time winning so yes not as many nice grabs and D's occured but there were some good plays and you obviously dont care much for our videos and that is fine with us. atleast man up to your words.

I agree there were good highlights... if it had been shorter it would have looked more impressive, but the video really showed how consistently dominant you guys were all weekend.
That said, what's up with the uncontested catch at 6:28 with the defender on the ground rolling in pain? I don't understand why that's a highlight

the catch was put in the original verion that was shown just to the team and it had aaron honn(the kid catching it) faking the other kid out (breaking his ankles) it was cool and funny but also very disrespectful so we took it out when we put it online. i didn't make the last cut so i dont know why it still has him just catching it maybe just for the reminder of the play...idk also it is true that long videos arnt as impressive, i've thought about this and we like videos that show good ultimate and kind of tell a story but i also think it would be cool to make a long video and a highlight just so that anybody can watch the highlight and we can watch our own story cause im pretty sure no one really cares much for our stories...but highlights are always fun to watch no matter what.

well isnt it true. sorry i should have mentioned that we didnt have a girls team either....not to mention churchill girls are pretty good. but for the most part it is true...why do you think atlanta always won?!?!?! it wasnt that much of a douche comment, everybody else had an either and opens team and or a girls team and atlanta was in a rebuilding year. we werent given an opens bids so our girls decided to just play with us. the more douche thing to do is to call somebody out and just hide behind your words. you could at least tell us who you are...
yeah dylans right, when the better players are able to play mixed instead of open/girls then most of the time they're the better team. minnesota had the cretin kids I think, and thats why they did better because the good kids from cretin weren't playing open. In 05 nashville fielded a mixed team after the open team finished 5th missing some key players at easterns and girls placed 2nd and they ended up winning the mixed divison. That's just how it works, dylan's not being a douche it's just how it is. Most teams that have bids in all 3 divisions use the mixed division as a Jv team of sorts, and the teams that don't have it in all 3 divisions use it as a varsity.
yeah i played for minnesota mixed and ive got three things to say:
1. nice video
2. eugene was the best mixed team. they didnt have to spread their talent around three divisions like minnesota or some other teams did, so yeah they had some really talented players.
3. i noticed in both our games against you guys that your ladies were pretty much programmed to look for a male handler if they were ever thrown to. eugene clearly knew that they had some talented guys and i think if you had ever given your girls a chance you'd have seen they were pretty talented too.

we are aware that our girls have talent. we wernt just ignoring them. churchill won westerns and got second with only 9 girls not including worlds alternate christine wilson. i dont know what you mean by programmed...there were also plenty of girl to girl sequences and such. we just had a lot of guy handlers and we also knew that our girls would tool any other girl down field.

I guess since you guys have all the fantasy stats you could go through and see whether that was actually true... but I don't care that much.
I just did the math because I'm really bored. The guys averaged 99.78 touches, while the girls averaged 36.33 touches. I'm not trying to take sides here, but I'd also guess that the touches the guys had were more "important" than the touches the girls had.

For example, that big shaved head guy catches a dump and hucks the disc fifty yards to the kid with the white hat for a goal. Each of them only touched the disc once, but each touch was very important. Whereas a girl can catch a ten yard pass and dump it back three yards for a seven yard gain.

All that said, there was a girl with 83 touches and a guy with 42 touches. So hey.
