The tournament will take place on May 3-4 2008, exactly one week before Easterns. A tough schedule to be sure for many if not all the competing teams here, as most (it would seem) expect to make an appearance in Pittsburgh on the 10th.

Thoughts on the tournament? Any completely hypothetical baseless predictions? Opine em in the comments...

They've chosen to go to easterns instead this year.

Amherst, Columbia, and Pennsbury are the three strongest teams and prohibitive semifinalists. Having done well at Easterns last year (nearly beating Pennsbury), NMH is likely to make semis as well. Andover and Longmeadow were both on the verge of reaching the top level last year and both have retained a lot of players. Any upset will be coming from them. I haven't really heard of any of the others except Needham, who aren't nearly as good as they were in 2007.
