Pennsbury beats Columbia on Universe Point to face Amherst in the semi's.

The last point went for 20+ minutes and is already being talked about as "the best game all weekend".

Noah Saul throws a backhand up line to Mike Principi who toes it in the front corner of the endzone to end it.

No word on whos in the other semi.

It looks as if it's going to be University School of Nashville vs. Amherst in the finals for the girls. Nashville beat the surprising Andover in the semis 15-5. I'm assuming Amherst ran the table in their half of the draw but am not totally certain.

Universe point between Columbia and Pennsbury was the perfect cap to a nearly perfect game. More than 20 minutes of pure athleticism and skill on display, as both teams battled for their lives. I counted more than eight layout D's on universe point. It was one of the best games I've ever seen.

And as for the best game on day 1, I'd have to nominate Columbia over Wissahickson 15-11 or Lincoln-Sudbury over Madison West 15-14.

What happened in the Wiss Columbia game when i left they were trading points. How did Columbia run away with it at thh end?

It was a combination of Columbia playing better defense (finally stopping the hucks) and fatigue/injury taking a toll on Wissahickon.

pennsbury vs columbia was the best game of the weekend. two teams who have met 4 times this spring splitting games 2-2. universe was finaly ended after multiple questionable calls with a backhand from mark dundala to mike principi. the game was out of control. pennsbury had two minutes after that game before facing amherst. pennsbury came out lazy and tired against amherst only scoring 5. pennsbury is losing 1 starting senior and can already compete at a national level. next season should be interesting to see what they do.
