Watchung Hills will actually be taking the place of the mysterious 2nd Delaware Valley Friends School in Division III.
DIII was actually created of teams that submitted bids late, and then Watchung jumped at the opportunity to switch to a more convenient locale.
But seriously, I'm looking forward to great performances from all the teams at Edgely.

Pennsbury (PA) and Columbia (NJ) will win their pools easily.

Princeton (NJ) will probablly battle it out with Stuyvesant (NY) to win the pool. Stuyvesant hasnt played any games yet so its hard to know what to expect. They have been competitive in the past so it would be unwise to count them out.

Wissahickon (PA) will win their pool only because they have home field advantage (being in Philly). Hampton is good and is running wild in PHUL but couldn't live up to the hype in the fall at Kat.

This would make semi's:

Pennsbury vs. Wiss
Columbia vs. Princeton

Making Finals

Pennsbury vs. Columbia
Repeat of the finals in every fall tournament these two teams have played at together (2 I believe). This is gonna be a very close match but I think that Columbia will take the win 13 - 11.

Are there any youth ultimate teams in Delaware? I know that Newark HS used to have a team a long time ago.

Is that Ryan from Columbia?

I believe that semis have been changed so that the winners of pools C and D will be playing each other, and the winners of A and B will be in the other semi. Potential matchups will then be

pennsbury vs columbia
princeton vs wissahickon

If Columbia plays the way they did in their 15-9 win against Princeton, Pennsbury may find it hard to beat them, especially with the loss of Venose. The game between princeton and wiss is a tossup. Wiss won 14-13 in the fall, but no winner can be predicted on Saturday.

Why is Columbia ranked third in their pool? Are the pools unseeded, or is someone involved with this tournament oblivious to the machine that is Columbia High School?

Having the match ups in semi's me A vs B and C vs D is stupid.

Why have the 1 & 2 seeds face off in the semi's????

Pennsbury just lost to Wissahickon, 15-11.

Semis are arranged that way so if each top seeded team makes semis, they'll play a team they haven't played yet. Columbia played Princeton already, and Pennsbury played Wissahickon, so Mark changed semis from A vs D and B vs C to the way it is now.

Princeton beat Columbia in the finals - not sure of the final score. Report those scores on ScoreReporter!

Princeton only won because of their ringers. The kid in the gold shoes was their team in the game against wissahickon. They will be nothing without him come easterns.

When you write "ringer", do you mean that Princeton was playing non-eligible players? If that is true, that would stink! I might as well have marched out onto the field with CB East, and brought Alex and Owen with me - I'm pretty sure we would have cleaned up... .

If by "ringer" you mean someone that was brought in to stack hte team, that is not true. I know most of the princeton high students, and this kid was horribile when he first started playing. through practice with them for the past years, hes gotten better. he goes to every one of their practices, and that doesn't qualify as a ringer

by "ringer", i meant someone that goes to a different school playing for the team. The upa knows about this, i believe, and he was eligible, but when they go to easterns he will not be allowed to play so they wont be as good, or lucky.

I'm kind of curious about who the anonymous posters are. One of them seems to think Princeton didn't deserve to win the tournament. Maybe you should say who you are and play us before making such comments? Sure, the kid with gold cleats is pretty good, but he definitely doesn't carry our team. He learned how to play at our practices and attends each and every one. His school does not have a team. Yes, he qualifies as a ringer, but its not like we invited the superstar of another team to play with us. The Princeton team spent time teaching him to throw, catch, cut, etc. He is as much a part of the team as I am. We gave him the chance to play ultimate when he had no other.

My team and I don't think we won the tournament by luck or with our "ringer." Our comeback from 7-11 and our winning the tournament weren't because of either. If anonymous or anyone else thinks different, so be it. Please don't insult us without at least saying who you are. And don't count us out for Easterns.

i wasn't meaning to insult you, however, i also didnt realize that he doesnt play for another team. I came under the impression that he was taken from a team that wasnt in the tourny and that he was used for reasons only to have a fighting chance to win the tourny, and win it.

please, if you think the kid in the gold shoes made that big of a difference in the game, then your team must be god awful. he's not terrible, but he sure aint no superstar. one man does not an ultimate team make.
